The Piggyback List
Building Method:
Using Other People's Lists to Build Your Own
List building is an
activity that successful internet marketers do every day. Adding
people to your list results in all sorts of good things
happening such as prospects for affiliate programs, customers,
sales and repeat sales if you build it the right way. Are there
shortcuts to building a great list to market to? No, but there
are tried and true methods for adding people to your lists if
you know where to look.
The one method I favor is
what I call the piggyback list building method. You can
take other people's lists, borrow them and use them to build
your own. Most people use this as a supplemental way to add
people to their lists but it can also be used as a primary means
of email marketing. One of the most commonly used lists
that people borrow to build optin lists is safelists. Safelists
are great but do have their limitations: Some are small and not
great quality. You can get around this by using the services of
a ranking service (one I use is TrafficHoopla). With the huge
number out there, you can often shop and even get great deals on
solo ads that cover a huge number of safelist members you can
get to in one email marketing mailing.
Ezines are the second most
commonly used method of accomplishing piggyback list building
and are well suited for this purpose. Many ezines are targeted
to a specific group and offer a great opportunity to build an
optin list from people who are looking for what you have to
offer. The problem with these is it can be expensive to run a
solo ad although you may find some that offer cheaper ad
options.
List builders are the
superior method of using piggyback list building and are great
because they have a proven success rate in people who sign up
from your email marketing mailings. A few notables include
ViralUrl, ListJoe, and ListBandit although there are others.
List builders often run specials on their memberships and offer
great value in their advertising. If you use them on a regular
basis, you will notice that you will get a steady response rate
which can be useful in planning an ad campaign particularly for
affiliate marketing programs. They get my top recommendation for
piggyback list building because they deliver and are totally
reliable.
The trick with piggyback
list building is to use email marketing mailings to mail to
someone else's list, get a decent response rate, and continue to
add subscribers to your own list and to keep growing it at a
steady pace. Once you start getting subscribers this way, you
should nurture your relationship with them and give them
something of value to keep them on your list. Smart internet
marketers know the money is in the list, so make the commitment
to grow yours and maintain it.

Yesterday,
Today, and Tomorrow
Well we are well into the New
Year and I thought I'd take some
time to finally write this
article. The title probably
tells you where I am going with
this. The information here is
written for internet and network
marketers. However, this really
applies to any area of your
life.
You are where you are today,
because of what you did
yesterday.
Today will determine where you
are tomorrow.
Simply concepts? Yes. Do we
seriously try to apply these
priciples in our lives? Only
you can answer that question.
Were you
floundering around on the
net last year? (Yesterday)
Are you now wondering why you
are not successful now? (Today)
Where will you be next year?
(Tomorrow)
or
Last year did you set goals
with steps to achieve them?
(Yesterday)
Are you making more now than
last year? (Today)
Will you continue what worked to
achieve more success next year?
(Tomorrow)
The choices are yours. Choose
Wisely !

How To Write Good Web Content
-
Keywords. You've worked
hard on these keywords; make them stand out (bold,
different font, headlines,
etc.)
-
Clear titles. Make it
painfully clear what you are going to talk about.
It's fun to be clever and cute, but it can backfire
on you. Search engine spiders just aren't attuned to
puns, cliches, or out of the ordinary slang terms.
-
Be short and sweet. This is high school
English. Don't cram as many ideas as possible into
one paragraph; rather, use that paragraph to focus
on only one idea.
-
Sales language. Do you
enjoy wading through a bunch of sales language to
get to the meat of a story? Well, neither will your
readers. Don't inflate your writing with a lot of
hot air; keep it down to earth.
These are just
general guidelines for writing quality Web content. It's
not something that most people can master overnight, so
give yourself some time, practice a lot, read a LOT, and
always put yourself in your Web site visitor's place to
make your site as user-friendly as possible.

What is a campaign?
Many people on the net think
a campaign is simply placing a url at some location and "let it
RIDE". The definition of a campaign is "a series of coordinated
activities designed to achieve a goal ". The definition of a
marketing campaign is too long to put in this article so you
will have to go to wikipedia for
that definition.
An Internet marketing campaign is a very comprehensive
serious of coordinated placement of ads, articles,
communications, and any other type activity to which you have
access. This is way too much to put in one article.

Cost Cutting Meals
Expenditures for meals will be limited to an absolute
minimum. It should be noted that certain grocery and
specialty chains, such as Hickory Farms, General Nutrition
centers, and, Costco, Sam's stores
etc. often provide free samples of promotional items.
Entire meals can be obtained in this manner. Travelers
should also be familiar with indigenous roots, berries, and
other protein sources available at their destinations.
If restaurants must be utilized, travelers should use
"all you can eat" salad bars. This is especially effective
for employees traveling together as one plate can be used to
feed the entire group.
Employees are also encouraged to bring their own food on
business travel. Cans of tuna fish, Spam, and Beefaroni can
be consumed at your leisure without the necessary bother of
heating or costly preparation. |
