Seems like some enterprising thug has come up with the perfect
way to create a down line - sign 'em up yourself.

Watch your mail for confirmation links to Traffic Exchanges or
other programs you did not join. Don't get mad at the program
owners, instead send in a nice support ticket letting them know
you did not join.

Down time is a terrible time for any marketer, but when it is a
personal issue that is the cause, all kinds of frustrating things
can happen. Like your email bounces like a rubber ball. Links
to site pages are coming in error 404. Robot form goes squirrely
on you and mixes up your UID and passwords.

Keeping good records is the secret to turning frustration into
easy fix time. Go to the library or to an Internet coffee shop and
change your email accounts on vacation mode. Connect with the
program owners that are wondering what is going on .Send out
an in-house mail to your subs.

Keep all pertinent records and access on an external disk.
Amazing how you can work from it until the slumber party your
computer has joined wakes us and becomes active again.

Really, we all have some warning that all is not right in our
world. Now is the best time to be organized so you can head off
disaster before it happens.

Funnel For Profit

It's a lot of work consistently looking for and using as many
offered ways as possible to pour prospective leads into your
funnel. On a rainy day, you wonder why the feed runs dry - no
one home, the system is not attracting and your funnel is looking
a bid on the deserted side.

Do you need more than one funnel? It is a question of how you
want to work prospecting for those leads rather than how many
funnels will be necessary to create desired results. Or perhaps it
is the style of internet marketing you are involved with that
might help define that need?

For instance, the MLM industry would require a funnel that
accommodates direct selling interests, while product and service
sales would require a different style funnel.

What may be more to the point in learning how to funnel for
profit, is what tools, advertising methods and needs formulas
you will provide to attract interested parties to your funnel, then
begin the relationship building that will move each prospect into
the right segmented list.

Each part of a funnel produces a specific result. It is filling in
the steps that each part of the funnel requires you complete so
that the pipeline is straight, the sorting is correct, and you are
creating the mind set and needs formulas that provide profitable
solutions.

This article deals mainly with the top of the funnel. It is your
most important part. No fuel going in, no fuel to fill the jerry
can.

Every prospect you feed into the top of your funnel is possible
income IF you follow up with them. IF you have developed a
simple strategy of perhaps an auto-responder series that results
from a FREE but relevant offer associated with your reason to
create that funnel.

If you keep in mind that the prospects who enter in through the
top of your funnel, are looking for information, then an a/r
series can begin that necessary relationship building. Very few
if any, are in the mindset to purchase. Every actionable step is
part of the pipeline process that moves your prospect from a
warm lead to a happy customer.

Begin at the beginning. Create your check list of possible tools
you currently have to design a marketing strategy that will pull
in curious or hungry leads ... or both if you do the initial work up
right. Then use those tools to create the action necessary to
keep on filling your funnel.

  While surfing some of the old tried and true
traffic exchanges, one can't help but notice
the new offerings to place on your website.

There's new lily pads on the pond and there's
a lot of lily pad jumpers.

Which ones will actually grow and become
brand name" is yet to be seen.

The question really is, "What does the
traffic exchange do for you and your business?'

It takes some wisdom and discernment for today's
marketer to know what to place where.

The start of the social phenomena has played
a double edged sword in the traffic exchange
industry. Chat and games have brought fun into
the picture. The trouble is, people have forgotten
to do what they came online to do and that was
learn how to make money online.

As the masses play the carnival, they are slowly
being lulled into a euphoric state by fun and games.
In the background there are warnings all over the
pace not to get caught in the trap.

Super surf has also become contagious as
traffic exchange owners team up to vie for
a public ready for change.

Wisdom dictates that we are experiencing
the result of folks who do not have a clue
what they are doing.

Again comes the warrior's scream to be cautious.
That carnival of exchanges is producing the
clicking dead.

Choosing where to place your site means choosing
places where serious marketers gather away from
the fun and games until business is taken care of.
And, as any serious marketer knows, one must feed
the mind
as you go along or you get left behind.

Yes, those credits are important. And yes, there
is a problem with the economy. So, wouldn't it be
wise to take a good hard look at what those
exchanges are really doing for your business?

Behind the scenes there is big business and
you may not be getting what you think you are!
When was the last time you weighed the balances
and accounted for the time you spend clicking
your life away or buying credit packages?

What is a Splash Page That Works?

There is a big difference between a splash page and a splash page that works - brings in the desired result.

1. Know your 'what'.

  • what are you trying to 'sell'

  • who will want what you are trying to 'sell'

2. Sell the sizzle NOT the what, or 'who' will never take action.

When your 'what' is a product then copy that sells the 'what' cuts down on desired results.

Let the company page do the selling of the product, that is what the company does best.

Good splash page copy entices, creates the curiosity needed in order to encourage the click through.

The 'who' becomes critical to your copy message as well as they are the market you need to be targeting.

If you do not ask those two critical questions; if you do not answer them in your layout and copy, then no matter how nice your splash page looks, it will fail in getting the desired results.

Pitch to the wrong audience then you are going to be sorely disappointed. A good splash page is a direct form of advertising.

Say as little as possible and use your copy to grab their instant attention in the few seconds Traffic Exchanges provide as well as the time a surfer has as they click through their tabbed lists.

Graphics should be used sparingly and they should emphasize the message. Choose wisely as your splash needs to be fast loading - 3 seconds max for best results.

3. Make sure your call to action is not only there, but it is clear and concise and removes all possible confusion from the desired action.

Splash needs to open in a new window.

Track that splash the easy way - upload it to your domain. The stats from your c-panel cannot be beat.

Chicken Surprise
 A couple go for a meal at a Chinese restaurant and order the 'Chicken Surprise'.


The waiter brings the meal, served in a lidded cast iron pot.

Just as the wife is about to serve herself, the lid of the pot rises slightly and she briefly sees two beady little eyes looking around before the lid slams back down.

'Good grief, did you see that?' she asks her husband. He hasn't, so she asks him to look in the pot. He reaches for it and again the lid rises, and he sees two little eyes looking around before it slams down.


Rather perturbed, he calls the waiter over, explains what is happening, and demands an explanation.

'Please sir,' says the waiter, 'what you order?'


The husband replies, 'Chicken Surprise.'


'Ah! So sorry,' says the waiter, 'I bring you Peeking Duck
