The five Critical Elements of
Online Success |
You're not going too far without your own
personalized, customizable web site and capture pages.
Corporate web sites supplied by some companies puts you in the
same position as every other member. You all get to look the
same and sound the same.
To be different, to be unique, you need a web site and pages
that promote you not the company, that has your story, your
pages that tell viewers who you are in order to begin building
valuable relationships that will grow your business.
2. Top priority is having a way to build your own list in order
to have a way to follow through with newly generated prospects.
The old direct mail way was make your list from every person you
knew over the years and go reach them. NOT anymore. That way is
not only outmoded, it is terribly dangerous in respect to spam
charges.
By having good Lead Capture Pages, you can drive traffic to
them, where they sign up for more information much like you did
when you joined. A simple page with a sign up from requiring
their name and email address will do.
By building a large list of hundreds, maybe even thousands of
prospects, you will find yourself with an internal list of
hundreds of qualified prospects interested in what you have to
offer.
Key to these two elements, is a follow up system that allows you
to keep in touch with your prospects, building their interest,
getting to know you, like you and feel confident about doing
business with you.

3. A streamlined sales funnel where you are able to promote
different income streams, valuable tools, resources and
educational products that are going to help your prospects
achieve their goals while providing you with multiple income

Parallels run through all time and
on line, it is no different.
Some years ago Faith Popcorn wrote a book called 'The Popcorn
Report.' She pointed out that the trend in the '90's was 'cocooning'
- which basically means people don't want to be bothered.
Thus far, considering those standards of preference by people, they are
now firmly ensconced in a fortress. Trying to get a new prospect to
respond is like pulling teeth.
To them, the whole net appears populated by
crooks, scammers, sham offers and oil slick sales people. Their
complaints are many and wholly justified in far too many cases. Between
credit card debt and frustration, they are more than careful how they
choose to join you.
Fast forward to December 1, 2009 and the FTC has invaded your Internet
space. The warnings have been many that it is time to clean up your act
or Government will do it for you. Instant cash, overnight riches and
hype promises so full of pure BS have to go.
If you cannot prove your claim then you better pull the plug on all
advertisements professing such claims.
If you are an affiliate marketer thinking it does not affect you, after
all you do not own the programs, think again and think again big time.
YOU are guilty of promoting false information, unproven, lacking
transparency and are as equally bordering on false representation as any
owner that brought you into their questionable promises.
FTC effects you if you do any of the
following:
a) You sell your own product and use testimonials on your sales page.
b) Endorse (promote) other people's or companies' products as an
affiliate for a commission.
While the teeth of the FTC rulings remain to be seen in court cases,
smart marketers and program owners will pull all advertising making fast
cash promises.
No doubt the hue and cry will go up about unfair practices that affect
business results. If you are not honest, cannot state your earnings and
the typical earnings of the average user then you have a problem

Affiliate programs can be a big source of revenue. The key to
maximizing your earnings is engaging your readers. Unlike
traditional ads where you are paid for impressions or clicks,
affiliates are only paid when/if a specific action is
performed. The action might be a purchase or signing up
for a newsletter, but regardless, you are not paid until you've
compelled your readers to act.

Buyer Beware Oct-Dec Dangers
Shopping on line, whether you are buying Christmas
gifts or joining a new program become a danger point at this time of the
year.
Between October and December holidays, cyber crooks rule the roost with some of
the easiest ways to rob you of your credit, your
income or simply what you have in your bank
account.
Malicious URLs are the way these crooks operate and you are the willing victim
because you do not take that extra moment to make
doubly sure ...
1. Your security is updated consistently AND you
are using paid for full security packages that will
protect you as long as you pay attention to what
you are doing online.
2. Be very sure that the links you use to buy from are
secure. Trick URLs can take you to a site that looks
just like the original but there will always be a dead
giveaway if you are alert.
Failure to take these steps will mean you are tricked
into giving credit or debit card numbers, or cause downloads of malware that
will play havoc with your computer. Malware that gives hackers the privilege of
reading the financial information you keep on your hard drive - very bad habit
for some; or that you voluntarily give not realizing who you are giving that
information to.
Even search engines are under attack by cyber
criminals at this time of year.
